Cisco’s exam prices increase for first time in three years | Latest News

Cisco has recently updated the prices of its certification exams and has increased it by 10 to 20 percent.
Certification exams Price increases include (all amounts in US dollars):

•  The entrance skills exams (certifications 101-105 and 200-105) changed from $ 150 to $ 165, a 10% increase

•   The routing and change examination of CCN (certifications 220-125) went from 295 to 325 dollars, 10%

•  The examinations of certification of professional competences, specialists and techniques (certifications of series 300, 500, 600, 640, 642, 642 and 648) increased from $ 250 to $ 300, an increase of 20%.

•   Written exams of CCIE and CCDE (certifications of level 350 and 400, as well as exams of level 352) rose from $ 400 to $ 450, an increase of 12.5%.

"Cisco continues to invest in the content and integrity of the certification and education program to support the increase in the demand of qualified IT professionals," wrote Chris Jacobs, Director of Certifications and Laboratory of the Cisco Technical Services Sector . "As a result, on February 9, 2017, Cisco has adapted the prices of some of its certification exams to adapt to this effort."

Despite some shouts in social media and the blogosphere of price increases, Cisco said that most of the price change exams in 2017 did not increase since 2014, and other exam fees have not changed since 2012.
